Originally from Lancaster, PA, Mrs. Metzger relocated to Cincinnati in 2019 and has enjoyed every moment living in the land of Skyline and Graeters. She began her career working in Xavier University’s Undergraduate Office of Admission, where she accompanied students and their parents from their initial visit through the application and registration process. Among the many joys of this role, she notes that it was the relationships she built with the families that were most rewarding. This was also a feature of her most recent role as Director of Catechesis and Evangelization at Eastside Catholics, where she assisted countless young people and adults in preparing to receive their sacraments. She is thrilled to now be supporting the many families of Cincinnati Classical Academy through her role and strives to build relationships based on trust, transparency, and an authentic desire to live out the core virtues of the school.

While a lifelong bibliophile and passionate student, Mrs. Metzger says that her love of the classics was particularly ignited in college. Her alma mater’s curriculum features a two-year Development of Western Civilization course, which introduced her to texts from classical antiquity to modernity across the areas of philosophy, literature, art, history, and theology. Each class kindled her pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty (in addition to refining her Jeopardy skills!). This is a journey that she has been excited to share with other students of all ages, and she is thankful it has now brought her to a school rooted in this mission.

In her spare time, Mrs. Metzger enjoys reading anything from a beach read to Charles Dickens, gardening, watching football, and spending time with her husband and son.
