Mrs. Janet O’Callaghan
- Bachelor of Science (Biology | University of Cincinnati)
Mrs. O’Callaghan has been in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 22 years, most recently as National Project Director. For the past two years she has led a team of 11 sales managers and 92 sales representatives across the United States. She is a native of Cincinnati, where she grew up on the west side of town, attending St. Ignatius and McAuley High School. Mrs. O’Callaghan played all kinds of sports growing up focusing on volleyball, basketball, and softball at McAuley. From there, she attended the University of Cincinnati, walked on to the volleyball team, eventually earned her spot as captain and obtained a full scholarship. Her love for teaching the game and leading a team naturally took her into coaching. She became the head varsity volleyball coach at Mt. Notre Dame High School in 1992, winning the Division I State Championship in 1995. Mrs. O’Callaghan continued coaching volleyball at the college level for the University of Cincinnati, Wheeling Jesuit University, and Purdue University. After 23 years living outside of Ohio, she and her husband returned to Cincinnati’s west side in 2020. Not only will Mrs. O’Callaghan be serving as Cincy Classical’s Enrollment Manager, she will lead the school’s volleyball program.
