Karla is a native Ecuadorian educator and mother of three boys who has a deep passion for education, languages, and cultures. A native Spanish speaker, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guayaquil. During that time, she had the opportunity to participate in a Spanish Language Assistant Program in Paris, France, where she worked with teenagers at Lycée Henri IV. This experience strengthened her appreciation for languages, cultural exchange, and the important role education plays in broadening students’ understanding of the world. 

Throughout her career, Karla has worked with students across diverse age groups and educational settings. She seeks to create learning experiences that encourage curiosity, communication, personal growth, and appreciation for different languages and cultures. 

Karla believes that every day offers a new opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. As an educator, she values perseverance, compassion, responsibility, and the joy of continuous learning. She is thrilled by the opportunity to become part of the Cincinnati Classical Academy community and to contribute to its commitment to forming intelligent, curious, responsible, and virtuous young people.
