Fifth Grade Teacher

  • Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Social Sciences & Languages | Liberty University)
  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (Accounting | Cincinnati State College)

Ms. Messmer has had a lifelong enthusiasm for education and sought opportunities to teach, mentor, and tutor students throughout her high school, college, and professional career. After working as an accountant, she chose to follow her passion for teaching by pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education. Her experience substituting in a classically minded school solidified her love for the classical model of education: inspiring awe and wonder, cultivating a deep love for the true, good, and beautiful, and supporting students as they grow not only in academics but also in virtue to become their best selves. She is excited for the opportunity to teach at Cincinnati Classical Academy and to share her enthusiasm for its rich curriculum and great books, especially her favorite novel of all time, The Secret Garden. She grew up in Oklahoma but loves the greater Cincinnati area which she has called home for fifteen years. Outside of the classroom, her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, taking nature walks, enjoying music, directing plays, reading great books, and learning new things.
