Students are invited to participate in extra-curricular clubs that provide a leisurely way to deepen their understanding of our curriculum and form the habits of our core virtues.

Students at Cincinnati Classical Academy will be able to participate in numerous extra-curricular clubs that provide a leisurely way to deepen their understanding of our curriculum and hone their practice of our core virtues. These clubs enrich individual student lives by fostering friendship, competition, and confidence. We highly encourage students to take advantage of these clubs as opportunities to mature as citizens.

Music

Band

Students will participate in a full band ensemble. All skill levels are welcome. Private lessons are not a prerequisite for participating but are highly encouraged.

Group Violin and Private Violin Lessons

Students will participate in Suzuki method Group Violin classes available for both beginner and intermediate players. Dr. Lee also offers on-site private violin lessons for students at these ages. Please contact Dr. Lee for more information.

Orchestra

Students will participate in our orchestra ensemble with string instruments. One year of beginner string orchestra, or equivalent experience, is required for participation in the Intermediate Group (contact Mrs. Randall for details). Private lessons are not a prerequisite for participating but are highly encouraged.

Students will study and perform great pieces of sacred music, musical notation, and Gregorian chant.

Students will be guided through the many facets of theater, from learning how to audition, to playing games that enhance their theatrical skills, to participating in workshops with local theater professionals.

Gardening Club — Fall

The Gardening Club welcomes students to nurture our school’s garden and explore the wonders of horticulture. No experience is needed—just a love for nature and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Join us to grow your gardening skills and help our garden thrive!

The Spanish Club is a fun, interactive experience where students learn Spanish through games, themed activities, music, movement, crafts, and teamwork. Children will practice speaking, listening, and vocabulary in a playful environment designed to build confidence and curiosity about language and culture.
