Early on, Mr. Foat devoted much of his effort towards a variety of ministry work, traveling between Florida as well as Wisconsin, where he is originally from. Upon the completion of his undergraduate degree, Mr. Foat accepted a position as a founding faculty member of Treasure Coast Classical Academy, teaching 6th-grade. The school began to rapidly grow, and as a result, there was much serious work to be done. The second year of the school Mr. Foat taught 6th-grade Math, additionally serving as the 6th-grade lead teacher. In the school’s third year, Mr. Foat taught 8th-grade Literature and served not only as the 8th-grade lead teacher, but also as the faculty head of Upper School. It was during this third year of the school that Mr. Foat additionally co-founded the school’s Upper School House System, serving as the program head. In the school’s fourth year, Mr. Foat began a new role as the founding Dean of Upper School where he oversaw matters pertaining to academics, culture, and faculty development. Mr. Foat continued in that role for a total of three years and has taught 10th-grade British Literature, 11th-grade Moral and Political Philosophy, 8th-grade U.S. History (interim), and 8th-grade Physics (interim) in addition to his administrative responsibilities during that time. Mr. Foat then transitioned out of that role and into the Classical School Leadership Fellowship Program with Hillsdale College, where he currently is in residence at Cincinnati Classical Academy. This program promotes virtue through intellectual development as a classical school leader within the Hillsdale College network of K-12 schools, and habitual formation towards the good within the day-to-day operations of school life. Mr. Foat has the opportunity to teach 7th-grade Math during the course of this year, which he cherishes greatly. In addition to these things, Mr. Foat is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion through Palm Beach Atlantic University, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Christine, as they both seek to act with virtue and live contemplative lives.
