Mrs. Megan Mears grew up in Springfield, Ohio, where she encountered the beauty of tradition, was inspired to develop a life of virtue, and developed a passion for the pursuit of excellence. She has seventeen years of classroom experience in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. For ten years, Mrs. Mears taught second grade and Kindergarten. She gained additional training in Orton-Gillingham instruction and achieved National Board Certification. She spent the last seven years in a part-time position that allowed her to encounter students in all grade levels. Mrs. Mears also assists with sacred music at Catholic parishes in the Cincinnati area, directs a children’s choir and youth schola, and sings with the Athenaeum Chorale at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, which includes her husband Josh, daughter Evelyn, and Bernedoodle Rory. The Mears family is thrilled to join the Cincinnati Classical community. Mrs. Mears is looking forward to all of the “very wonderful things” that will happen in Kindergarten this year!
