Madeline Sceve

Madeline Scheve was blessed to receive a classical education from kindergarten through 12th grade in Des Moines, Iowa, alongside her seven younger sisters. She developed her affection for great works of literature and philosophy during humanities seminars in high school, which led her to study philosophy at Hillsdale College. Outside of the Hillsdale classroom, Madeline sang Evensong services and performed major works of sacred music in the College’s Chapel Choir as a Choral Scholar. While she delights in the intellectual life, Madeline finds herself happiest when spending time in conversation, sharing good food, or traveling with her friends and family. She is deeply indebted to her parents, grandparents, and teachers from both Hillsdale and Des Moines, and hopes that her teaching can reflect the love they have shown her.
