Mrs. Ashlee Bishop

Instructional Aide

  • Bachelor of Science in Education (Special Education| University of Cincinnati)
  • Master of Education (Literacy and Language | Miami University)

Mrs. Bishop is a Cincinnati native. She has eight years of experience as an intervention specialist. Six of those years were spent at Winton Woods Intermediate School, co-teaching reading and math, and teaching small groups of students in 5th and 6th grade. The other two years she worked in the Hamilton City Schools District teaching reading to kindergarten through 6th grade students using the Orton-Gillingham method. In 2015, Mrs. Bishop took a break from teaching to provide care for her three girls, all of whom now attend Cincinnati Classical Academy. After eight years at home, Mrs. Bishop worked as a preschool teaching assistant at West Chester Christian for two years. Now that her youngest daughter is attending Cincinnati Classical Academy, Mrs. Bishop is grateful to be a part of the Classical Family.  She looks forward to helping students discover the truth, beauty and wonder of learning, and guiding them towards their fullest potentials. In her free time, Mrs. Bishop enjoys hiking, going to concerts, reading, and spending time with her husband, three daughters, and Shetland sheepdog.

Favorite Classical Quote

“I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.  I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.”
