Mr. Alex Breeze
Student Services Teacher
- Bachelor of Arts, Xavier University | Major in History & Minor in Classical Humanities
A strong proponent of well-rounded, humanities-centered education, Mr. Breeze began his path as an educator early in his life. He developed a passion for teaching and supporting others in a class environment through martial arts, assisting the instruction of younger students. As a student himself, he attended Archbishop Moeller High School and was the president of its Junior Classical League chapter for two years, receiving both the Moeller Department of Languages Award for Latin and the John Massarella Award for Effective Discourse in the Humanities. Mr. Breeze studied at Xavier University furthering his Latin, learning Attic Greek, Biblical Hebrew, and Italian. This study has taught him valuable lessons of the human condition, the needs of the student, and the value of integration of a variety of subjects into a holistic worldview. In his spare time Mr. Breeze continues pursuits of both mental and physical development, enjoying weight lifting, martial arts, science fiction writing, and reading academic sources on social psychology, philosophy, and synthetic biology.

“Why ‘liberal studies ‘ are so called is obvious: it is because they are the ones considered worthy of a free man. But there is really only one liberal study that deserves the name – because it makes a person free – and that is the pursuit of wisdom.”
